What I read this week

I know.
I know.

Get a life!

What I read this week:

Well studying for Security + and the book Cyber Wars actually
discusses many of the key concepts and application of many of the
concepts in the Security + test. Very apropos.

Paper Dolls - Robert B. Parker

Crimson Joy - Robert B. Parker

As always Robert Parker's "Spenser" books are worth the read. This time, his love, Susan in treating a patient who is a serial killer. Spenser insists on protecting Susan when she confronts the patient and I like what she says to Spenser to explain her feeling later:

"To be who I am. To be the woman you love, to be part of what we are, which is not like anyone else, is to be SUSAN, I have to deal with this as I must. I must use my judgement and my skill and I mustn't let fear change that."

I could not have said it any better as those words echo my own thoughts.

And Spenser replies "No", I finally said, "you mustn't. You're perfectly right." "And, I said, your about to put your tit in the tortellino."

Spenser as a character and hero is awesome. How could you not admire a man who calls a 'tit' a tit!'

My kind of man even if he is fictional!
